Here's a list of frequently
asked questions we receive. If your question is not addressed here, or
if you need clarification on any point whatsoever, please use our inquiry form and send us your query.
What
is considered Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is when you copy someone
else's ideas and try to pass it off as your own. If you quote a sentence or paragraph
verbatim, it needs to be within quotation marks "..", and credit given
to the author. If
you paraphrase without adding to or altering the message contained
within the writing, it is also considered plagiarism in the strictest
sense.
Quoting
facts and historical data obtained from open sources is not plagiarism,
provided you do not also include any of the writer's ideas and comments
that may be appended to those facts.
Editing:
Do you show editing alterations that are made?
Yes.
By using the tracking or recording feature in most word processors, we
will show the edits. This is a standard inclusion in our editing
service. If you're unsure how this feature works, just ask us for an
explanation.
Do you offer any
discounts?
Yes. Students
enjoy a 10% discount off our published rates. Repeat clients are also
given a 10% discount from the third project. A further 5%
applies to any writing exceeding 10,000 words. Please refer here
for our published standard rates
How can I submit my documents?
You
can submit your documents in doc. docx. rtf. or txt.
extensions. Please do not send it in pdf. Also, unless you
send it in a doc. or docx. file, we cannot show you the changes made.
Do you offer formatting
services?
No, we don't. We will not change your format, but
may include white space to improve readability. If you are bound by
writing and formatting guidelines as prescribed by educational
establishments or publishers, you will need to make sure you adhere to
the requirements.
Do you comment on our writing style?
No,
sorry, we do not. We find that this does not serve much purpose and, in
this instant, we are not conducting writing courses, for
which such actions may be needed. We show you the edits; you are free
to accept or reject all or selectively accept or reject. If you want to
improve your writing style, here's a very affordable resource.
What if we find problems
with your editing?
A
fair question. Writing is very subjective and is not governed by any
irrefutable formula. We will correct or change any section, sentence or
word you are not happy with up to a maximum of two times at no
additional charge.
However,
if you make significant changes to the original content, then need
editing services, we will treat it as a new project.
How would I know you can
meet my expectations?
We
suggest you request a sample edit first. Send us a 100-word extract
from your document and we will edit and return this for your
evaluation. Use our form here for your convenience. Simply include your passage
in the comments box. A faster route would be to take a look at our sample editing.
Urgent Requirements
You
state a turnaround of five (5) working days. What if I need the service
urgently?
There
is a maximum surcharge of 50% above the published rates for urgent
jobs. This is negotiable, depending on the complexity of your
project and how tight our editors's schedule is.
How do I pay for your
service?
We
strongly recommend using online payment facilities through a secure
payment method like PayPal. If you don't have a Paypal account, setting
one up is free and easy. Just go here to complete the form and your account will be up
and running. However, to set up the account you may need to
have a credit card.
If
you cannot set up an account for any reason, please
contact us for alternative payment methods,
giving us your location and preferred currency.
Payment
needs to be made in advance, unless backed by an endorsed official
purchase order.
